The University of Auckland's Centre for Longitudinal Research - He Ara ki Mua  is holding an inaugural research conference:

“Whakarongo mai – hear our voices”

Celebrating a decade of evidence from the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal study

28th - 30th November, 2022

Grafton, Auckland

The three-day conference will showcase the Centre’s high quality research outputs and their impact as a result of academic and policy partnerships. 

The conference will also offer opportunities for researchers to network and discuss the future challenges and opportunities for utilizing longitudinal research to improve population wellbeing (methodologies, data collections, partnerships with policymakers, implementing co-designed solutions with diverse communities).

There will be optional interactive workshops on day three to explore opportunities for undertaking further transdisciplinary research. The discussions will explore opportunities for expanding existing partnerships with researchers, communities, and stakeholders to ensure the voices of today’s generation of tamariki and rangatahi can be heard to shape their own futures and the futures of all young people growing up in Aotearoa New Zealand today.

All access to Growing Up in New Zealand data is controlled by a Data Access Protocol and all requests are reviewed by a Data Access Committee.
